Lazy Bear Villa By The Little Hoi An

Relaxed family run hostel mid way between the old town and the beach. We had a double room with en-suite and balcony, perfect for our stay. The breakfast was good as well.

I liked that the location was not far from the Old Town and that it had local stores and restaurants around the hostel. The private room was a comfortable size and had curtains that were able to blot out the sun during the day. Room was clean and extra towels and flip flops were provided to walk around the room and house. Laundry service was provided for 40K a kilo at the facility so this is a major convenience.

The advertised banana pancakes on the page and the flyer at the hostel is not the same as the one that is being served for breakfast in the morning. My expectations were heightened because I thought the pancakes were made like the American style-made pancakes. Also there was incense sticks being burnt in the house that I am allergic to and was sneezing and having a sore throat because of the smells that were rising from the first floor. Also wasn't greeted by an actual adult but rather the children that showed me to my room and had to grab the keys to my room

The hostel is little bit out of town so its a quiet neighborhood and it makes it a great location for traveling to the beach and the city by bike (which you can lend for free) The owners are the nicest people you will meet. They help you with everything you need! Just a great hostel when traveling to hoi an!

Please give the Lazy Bear your business when you come to Hoi An! It is run by a lovely local family who were so sweet and had fantastic customer service. The facilities are great, and they offer free bike rentals! I think biking around is the best way to explore the Hoi An area, so it's a huge perk. There is also breakfast but I slept in too late to try it... The hosts offered recommendations for things to do and see in Hoi An, a map, and credible tailoring and tour services (although I did not have enough time to take advantage of either of those things). I stayed in the dorm, and the facilities were all comfortable. I love the adorable decor in the Lazy Bear as well! I would love to come back again the next time I visit Hoi An! It's such a shame I could only stay one night. Great value and great experience outright

The bike I borrowed was functional but a little worse-for-wear It was free though so I really can't complain! Also, the Lazy Bear is ~15 minutes away by bike from the central Hoi An area. Very reasonable in my opinion and the location is great since it's quiet and secluded. It's also closer to the beach activities and rice paddies than accommodations in town.

Highly recommend this hostel to those looking for a place to relax in Hoi An. The dorm is great with 2 ACs, fans, and a balcony, bathroom is excellent and clean. The family running the place are very welcoming, friendly, and helpful! They also have really good banana pancakes for breakfast! 5 min drive/40 min walk to old town or beach, or you can use bikes here for free too.

Very friendly, quiet hostel in between old town and the beach. Owners are really helpful with booking tours - I did the cooking class which was really interesting! Breakfast is good!

30 minute walk to old town so not close but not fair either! And free bikes to use if you don't fancy the walk

One of my favourite hostels!! The host family were amazing, they helped us book tours and buses, and were super welcoming. The room was so clean, well decorated and had a very powerful AC. Breakfast was delicious- would highly recommend the banana pancake. The location was perfect, just a short ride to the beach or the old town on the free bikes.

Chill atmosphere. Very nice family running the hostel with some good tips for restaurants. It's nice that the hostel is a little bit a way from the very touristy old town. Good banana pancakes :)
