Luna International Hostel

Every thing is nice and open good for socializing. You can smoke anywhere outside the rooms. Free breakfast was delicious. Couches were good too reminded me of my grandmas old couch.

The hammock was not good probably worst one this trip

Good location. Close to supermarket and main square.

Not sure about the free breakfast as we weren't given any information on it. Had to pay for water. Walls were very thin and you could hear noise from washing machine and other rooms.

Not sure about the free breakfast. We weren't really told at check-in (maybe out Spanish) where and when this was and had to be up early. Had to pay for drinking water. Walls were paper thin and we could hear washing being done late and a guy next to us playing a podcast for the entire night.

The place has nice interior design and vibe. I generally dislike the food in CA but did like the traditional and free breakfast and would not miss it. I found most of the complains of the other reviewers overblown, I came with low expectations but found little to dislike. The kitchen is functional. The location is directly in the city. I had a room on my own as they seem to have overcapacity with about 20-30 beds. I even would have extended but there is little to do in Esteli and I had already booked the next accommodations. I would return. Esteli has at least a cooler climate than the coast and mosquitoes are less of an issue.

I do not care about "booked tours" so the fact they they don't organize them doesn't interest me. The service is at least above the Nicaraguan average. There are ants and cockroaches, but very limited compared to many other places in CA.
