Hostal La Media Luna Palomino

The accommodation is a bit out of the way, surrounded by greenery, so it's wonderfully quiet and you can really relax. Juan has created a little paradise - we felt very comfortable from the very first second and extended our stay twice:)! The pool in particular is wonderful, you can enjoy the peace and quiet there for hours. You also have the choice of breakfast as an option - everything is fresh and very tasty. We would definitely recommend it and definitely come back again!

Only the mattresses were a bit saggy.

The owner was really lovely and hospitable. We went for hiking and he was really helpful in giving us information. The pool and the property were both really beautiful.

La Media Luna was my favorite place to stay in Palomino. Palomino can be hot, dusty, noisy and touristy. Juan (the owner) has created a space that is cooling, clean, peaceful and homey. He is one of the nicest people I've met anywhere in all my travels. My girlfriend and I felt comfortable going into Palomino and getting sweaty and sandy, knowing that we were coming back here where we felt at home. Like all places in Palomino make sure to bring bug spray for the evening mosquito hours, have the homemade Panela tea with breakfast, spend time in the perfectly placed hammocks, give the dogs some belly rubs, and enjoy the lushness of the pool area. Juan will take care of the rest (he gives the best tips for where to go and what tours to take)

There is nothing I would change. You will not find a better value. If you store luggage don't put it deep into the cool corner of his office it can get damp there from the temperature change

This place is amazing! I ended up staying nearly a week because i loved it so much. The place looks a bit like a resort, but i paid less for my own room than what others paid for a dormbed in Palomino. Such good value for money! The place is outside the hustle and bustle of Palomino and therefore it's quiet and relaxed. Supergood place to chill and unwind. Near to D1 supermarket and local restaurants. I felt safe walking back alone from the beach at night. The owner and his mum are superfriendly and helpful.

When you are in one of the single or double rooms with shared bathroom, you share a roof with the other rooms. (The rooms are kind of open). Which means there is a nice airflow. But in the worst case, your neighbours are loud and wake you up. This only happened twice...the other nights i slept well.

Carlos has done an amazing job with this hostel. It was exactly what we needed. Best sleep since being in Colombia! Love all the dogs and cats! The staff are all friendly. The natural pool is stunning. The fruit trees are incredible. A true paradise. The breakfast is delicious and plentiful. Fully recommend!
