Staff is really nice

It’s not that easy to find the place and going outside at night is a hasle because owners sleep early

I chose this place for the night I was going to the Sambadrome during the Rio Carnival. It’s just 4-5 minutes walking distance from Sambadrome. Except this, there is nothing special about the hostel.

The dorms are very tiny. Even though I stayed at 6 people dorm as 3 people, there’s almost no space for the bags. For one night it was okay.

The location

The unhealthy conditions of the room: no windows, AC device expelling hot air into the en-suite bathroom making it impossible to breathe there. I left after the first night and talked to the owner but didn’t want to give a refund of the nights I didn’t use the room. Also someone told me they might have rented twice my bed earning double money for one bed. I wouldn’t recommend it at all. I have been in many hostels and can adapt myself very easily but these were unbearable unhealthy conditions.

I like everything there, I felt like it was by my relatives. It was an amazing time. I'll never forget the time which I spent there. It is also near Sambadrom 👏 2, 3 min to walk. The host tried and helped around us as if we were family members. Thank you Liliane, thank you my littler hermana Julia ❤️ for everthing

I liked the breakfast very much. It provided excellent value for money and was unlimited (Bread Loafs, Butter, Cheese, Jeely/Jam, Coffee, Fruits, Juice, Yugurt). The owners/managers (Alex & Lilly) were excellent. They walked with me helped me get a Local SIM Card and helped me buy groceries and local cheap phone.

A small microwave in the kitchen would have added the value even further. However, there is an oven and pots and pans which you can use to cook.

Amazing hosts, they took care of our every need. They were so kind and attentive, and made all of us feel right at home.

amazing staff, super friendly and helpful, will treat you like a part of them family. although they didn’t speak any English, they tried so hard to accommodate me and make me feel welcome. I couldn’t recommend this place enough!
