Midori Guesthouse&Hostel

The guesthouse is really nice--as are the people that run it. There are some decent restaurants and some really stunning parks and beaches nearby, too. I'd recommend staying here for sure!

Host was very considerate, and explained things to me concisely and thoroughly when I arrived so I didn't have to ask any questions. Room was very clean, quiet, small towels were provided and there was also underfloor heating which you can adjust yourself. I learned a little bit about the history of Tsushima and was recommended some of the places worth going to visit, before renting an electrical-assist bike for ¥1500 until 3pm. Good location with access to some nice shops nearby.

The host is very kind and helpful. He gave good recommendations on where to go and what to eat. The location is about a 5 minute walk from the terminal. You can also rent electric bikes from the host! Had a great experience staying here.

I did like the location and the owner seems to make an effort to provide comfortable accommodation. Other than that, there was nothing to write home about.

I stayed for 3 days at the guesthouse and my room was not cleaned at all throughout this time. The owner doesn't provide sheets, so had I to sleep on a plastic mattress protector which, according to the owner, gets changed between guests. The same applies to the pillows and the duvet (no pillow slip or duvet cover). The power points in the headboards of the beds didn't work because their plugs don't fit the power points in the wall. Lounge very uncomfortable because the aircon is never on and the fan can't cope with the August heat. Breakfast consists of exactly 1 slice of toast with cheese, 1 egg, 1 piece of fruit or 1 yoghurt, and 1 cup of instance coffee.
