Mica Mountain Lodge & Log Cabins

Book this lodge. We had the most magical time here beautiful location , remote and quiet , facilities were great we used the open fire pit and cooked a bbq and smores. Really is the perfect outdoor getaway. The lodge was picture perfect! And the view was incredible

Everything was amazing. The Bear cabin was such a cozy, comfortable cabin. Perfect set up and well built. The view of the mountains is amazing. At night sat outside and enjoyed the stars and quiet. Would definitely recommend this place for a refreshing getaway. I will definitely be back

It was clean, comfortable and well located for privacy.

The sound of nature, as described on website, is regularly disturbed by the noise of the long, trans-Canada trains that pass nearby day and night. In our three days we had no introduction to the host and actually left early due to train noise. The noise cannot be disputed and cannot be blamed on wind as it was still weather during our stay. We were disappointed with cooking facilities even though we knew there was no oven. There were no detergents to clean surfaces, no kitchen roll and the electric rings smelled each time they were turned on. While the cabins are private, privacy was compromised by no curtains/blinds over some windows and especially the door. The curtains that did cover the panoramic windows were very thin and let light in (better quality, thicker curtains may also have subdued some of the train noise). As a travel journalist with over 30 years experience, and having stayed in many log cabins, these are issues I feel must be addressed. I also did not feel comfortable sleeping in a bedroom with an animal fur artwork on the wall - I was in the area to admire the wildlife, not look at the fur of a dead animal.

Beautiful, sheltered, and stylish. Offered us everything we could want. Perfect size for a couple. Great view, private outdoor space, would be lovely in winter as much as it was in summer.

Nothing. I like that it didn’t offer WiFi in the rooms; I valued the opportunity to switch off a bit.

The cabin offers a great view on the mountains around the area. We enjoyed our breakfast and dinner at the garden or veranda and had a great stay in the “Pine” cabin. All essentials you need are there, really clean and Elke & Jürgen are super hosts. The small electrical chimney offers a cozy atmosphere.

Very clean, cozy, only a few units, quiet and close to nature

It's location is beautiful very very private. Yet close enough to town if you need anything or you wanna make a quick run into the bakery in Valemount. There is no oven but the toaster microwave and two burner stove quite made up for it. I can't get over how clean it was and comfy and just like home. Private yard site another bonus. Fully supplied with everything all the way down to normal size body wash shampoo and conditioner. You don't need to bring any dishes or things to cook in. Having cell service and tv was nice but I would've been fine without it too. Be prepared to be astonished by amazing mountain views even as you cuddle on the couch or sit on the beautiful deck furniture on your covered deck. I would love to go back there again and again.
