Private Heated Bedrooms at The Bunkhouse in Snowdonia Perfect for Bikers and Walkers

It was reasonable close to where we wanted to get to and luckily our neighbours were all pretty quiet so we got a good nights sleep.

Expensive for a small room with three bunk beds, fortunately there were only three of us so we made it work ( I could not imagine six people in there!) a very small window, so hardly any ventilation, to small a kitchen, a building this size should only be catering for half the number of people it is designated for. Closing the main toilet block for cleaning in the early morning just when everyone was waking up and wanting to use them has to be just the silliest thing, quite a few irate campers waiting to get in.

The staff were so incredibly helpful. They send you your door code to get in so it's completely self check in and out. They have a communal kitchen with tables ans chairs, a fridge and freezer, toaster, microwave, hob and a kettle. You can hire out boxes with plates, bowls, utensils, cutlery, pots pans etc for a £10 refundable deposit. They also sell bags of wood for only £6. Also have a reasonably priced vending machine. The pillows were nice quality and the beds were comfy enough. The views are amazing and my children loved waking up and running to see the horses. They have a strict no noise rule which was super helpful when your trying to get young kids to sleep or you are a light sleeping. They also had a gas bbq you can use and a fire place by the picnic tables. But again it's communal.

The blankets just weren't thick enough so a few of use ended up sleeping with jumpers and stuff on as we got really cold. It does have heating in the room but not everyone in our room can sleep in a hot room. I know that's an us issue but heavier blankets would have been lovely. Don't have any other complaints.

Great location. Clean campsite

Fireplace as per description didn’t exist. Kitchen shared with multiple other rooms and shower / toilet facilities shared with whole campsite. Whilst this caused us no issue this was not clear from advert. Also gas BBQ broken and dangerous

Was just what we needed after a long day: a clean room, a comfortable bed, good standard amenities.

Lots of dust. But heating was fantastic. There were rooms not let but the rented ones were all next to each other and could hear lots of noise at night from chatting amd snoring. Two women with two children could have gone to a bunk room away from the other noisy bikers

Wipes the beds. Or hoover at least.
