The location is very convenient, close to the main shopping area, and only a few minutes’ walk from Chinatown. The area feels very safe and is great for exploring the city on foot.

There was a noticeable paint smell inside the room.

Staying at this place was quite an extreme experience. I was given a room with a narrow horizontal window near the ceiling that was completely open to the outside, with no proper barrier such as glass or even a curtain. As a result: 1) Mosquitoes were flying into the room throughout the night. Fortunately, I happened to have mosquito repellent with me, which allowed me to deal with the problem. 2) The room faced a busy street and was also located right next to railway tracks. It was unbearably noisy, and from time to time exhaust fumes would enter the room. The situation was particularly bad in the morning when a diesel locomotive stopped nearby while railway work was being carried out. Once again, I was lucky to have brought earplugs, which at least helped reduce some of the incredible noise. 3) The room became cold during the night. The outside temperature was around 17°C (63°F). Fortunately, I had a lightweight sleeping bag with me, which helped me stay warm. As for the neighborhood, the property is centrally located. However, I would not recommend going out at night. I did so and quickly decided to turn back. There were many suspicious-looking people around, homeless individuals sleeping on the streets, and intoxicated people causing disturbances. This certainly did not look like what one would expect from a country often described as one of the happiest in the world. There were also rats running along the streets. To complete the picture, I should mention the old sink in the bathroom, which looked as though it might detach from the wall at any moment. In all my years of using Booking.com, I have never felt compelled to write such a negative review of a place where I stayed. I paid $50 for this experience and found the overall standard of accommodation deeply disappointing and far below my expectations.

Well I had to booking confirmation and walked across downtown at midnight trying to find this place without wifi. Creepy neighborhood

I didn't like that there wasn't security staff or someone to answer the door. No messages. There is a door bell but nobody came. I ended up having to wait all night at the closed bus stop. Good thing there was an security guard who watched out for me. With all the homeless people and addicts. Ans he even gave him access to his personal data from his cellphone to use during the cold night and it was freezing 18°C (I was just as shocked that it was cold for me too) I had to wrap myself in my windbreaker jacket and my beach blanket and sat on my backpack

Sie waren sehr freundlich. In den 4 Tagen wurden 1 mal die Tücher und der Kehricht gewechselt. Das Hostel liegt recht zentral. Es gibt einen feinen Imbiss in der Nähe.

Der Zug fährt häufig vorbei. Der ist sehr laut.
