Chernaki Surf Experience

I had a problem with the owner behaviour towards me as a woman, and I didn’t feel safe to stay in there. I had to leave this property earlier, day before my booking ended. I wouldn’t recommend this place for woman traveling alone. However, the house was lovely and the breakfast was delicious on every day. Also I adored the interior design in the house. And rooftop is amazing. On the other hand, it’s noisy there. The sound coming from fridge downstairs was very bad and didn’t allow me to sleep.

This property has not been verified at all. The website said that is a hostel, beachfront, and a restaurant. In reality, it is pretty far from the beach, it is more of a shared house and the restaurant is the house’s kitchen, with volunteers as chefs. The description is overall misleading. In reality, we are sharing a house with three lovely hosts but this is not what we were looking for. The house is in a bad state, the kitchen is super faulty, and our bathroom as well. There are many ants. The house is safe but the area the house is in does not feel safe at all. It is all very remote. The host expected us to act as her employees, depending on us to be at the property in the middle of the day to let new guests in. The location was also misleading, booking.com labelled it as in Taghazout, it is in reality 20 minutes drive away in Tamri. It is overpriced for the overall place and service.

Warm welcome by our host, understand very well our needs and arranged everything to make that work. Instantly arranged a surfcourse, made food, and the room was good for what we needed

First contact was bad and we couldn’t find the hotel which was annoying. We wanted to book yoga and surf in advance but communication didn’t work for some reason. In the end all sorted out but not a pleasant start. For next customers “, in the picture you see the entrance so go here!

The owner and his friends were really friendly. The beach nearby is beautiful. The friend of the owner was an amazing guy he helped me with everything.

I was treated like family not like a normal guest and I really value the help that Hannes (the owner) gave us, he helped in all the requests we asked without hesitation !!! The breakfast was great and the lady who makes it was very nice, the beach is right in front like a 2 minutes walk !!! People with a good heart who will make us come back for sure, we are fans of everything ❤️

I had a really wonderful time at Chernaki Surf! Anes helped me with everything and was always there if I needed something, Halima always cooked me wonderful food, Mo was the perfect surf teacher and Mimi the little cat always came to cuddle with me. After already one day it felt like family. I’m gonna miss it and will definitely come back!

You need transport to come to the other places and to Taghazout Center, but there is a beautiful, peaceful beach in front of the house ( 5 min walk) and Anes always takes care for transport!

The warm welcome made us feel at home with a tour around the Villa. The room was perfectly clean and ready for our arrival. They managed to arrange us a shutle last minute from the APT to the Villa. Failing wifi in our room but they managed to find an wifi extension for us. During our stay we needed to use taxi to go to a weding venue, and when there were no taxis available they took us.

If you are traveling without rent car you'll be a little restricted but you can always walk down the small village.

Nice location close to the beach where you can enjoy wonderful sunsets. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The property is very nicely decorated and cozy. Good breakfast served!

During our stay the pool was not usable and needed cleaning which should have been done ahead of guests arriving especially considering that the price paid was higher compared to other surf houses in the area. Alternatively a discount could have been offered. Also the fridge was broken during our stay and beeping all night, which was a bit annoying.
