Ijen Backpacker

Good location if you arrive by train.

Bed is uncomfortable.

I loved everything about this place. Literally right outside Ketapang train station. 5 minutes away from the ferry terminal. The room was so clean. The cats are adorable. The staff was amazing. I would definitely come back here even if I wasn't hiking up Ijen.

Just the breakfast!! Delicious . Owner is accommodating but he is only available on WhatsApp!!

I requested for early checkin from the number provided, apparently he agreed to keep my bag at 4am but when I reached, no one opened. It was difficult at that time with a heavy backpack. But they opened after 30 40 mins of wait time. The one who opened wasn’t very happy with my choice of mixed dorm being a female. Got a judgmental look!! Hahaha! But anyway. Property need renovation. Continuous hot water in shower. Common area stink bad when I was waiting in morning for checkin.

有點簡陋

Super emplacement, à même pas 5 min à pied de la gare et du port. Ils organisent l’excursion pour le mont Ijen donc très pratique. Personnels sympathiques et à l’écoute. Chambre avec salle de bain privée, propre avec climatisation, parfait pour se reposer après le réveil très matinal. Petit plus, les chats qui cohabitent avec nous ☺️

Hostel muito bem localizado, super próximo a estação de trem e também do porto das balsas. Excelente para mochileiros viajantes! O preço é ótimo, o quarto era confortável (eu e minha noiva ficamos em um quarto privado), e eles também organizam o tour para o monte Ijen com ótimos preços! Após o término do tour eles servem café da manhã no hostel (incluso no preço do passeio), e ainda dá tempo de tomar banho de descansar antes do check out Ah, e a moça da recepção era uma querida! Recomendo muito!!

Bem perto da estação de trem, bom custo benefício, peguei um quarto com ar condicionado. Pelo preço e para descansar uma noite, foi tranquilo

Instalações antigas e com pouca manutenção

It was a very comfortable stay on the way between the train and ferry. We arrived at night and there was no problem with late check in. The staff were kind and helpful. We got a room for 2 people with an ensuite. Everything was clean and a glass bottle of water was next to the bed. The AC was working perfectly. Lovely cats hanging around❤️
