Youth Hostel Luxembourg City

The hostel is centrally located but also offers a calme atmosphere. It has a spacious common area where teleworking is possible; wifi works just fine. Personnel is friendly and welcoming. Breakfast is included in the price. Beds are comfortable. Price/value: good

Dislike: Didn’t like the showers and the sinks: you have to press them every few seconds so to have running water.

Nice location in a valley with good views. Place overall is clean and feels like a university setting.

70 euros per night for a dorm bed in hostel without where you have to make and clean up your own bed is very overpriced. Be advised there’s no air conditioning (another reason it’s too expensive), there was a heat wave that made the room like an oven. Only two male showers were working and they flood the bathroom floor with water easily. The breakfast ends early at 9am and they want you out by 10 (despite them only needing to clean the floors since guests handle the bedding). So ending your stay you are rushed out after paying the premium price too.

Ik heb een prima verblijf gehad in dit hostel. Wat mij vooral beviel was dat er veel te doen was, de locatie top is en het personeel erg vriendelijk was.

Wat iets minder was, is dat het erg warm was op de kamer en dat het soms wat lawaaierig was. Ook vond ik de douches iets minder hygiënisch.

Location was great.

Didn't like the long walk to use the facilities where they where the showers weren't clean, toilets were in an alright condition. Breakfast wasn't anything outstanding. Didn't like having to make my bed in the heat, where I didn't end up making it properly cos it was that difficult to make.

The hostel has great potential, though it missed the mark in many ways. The feel of the space is great...restaurant, complimentary breakfast, games, lounge, etc. It is close to a bus line...reminder that all public transportation is FREE!

The hostel is not disability friendly. I notified them at least 3 months in advance of my neck and spinal injury from an automobile accident and I now live with chronic pain. I informed them I would need a lower bunk of the challenges I have climbing. They said they could nothing for me, and the hostel was first come, first served. In the 21st century, this response is unacceptable, particularly with the emphasis on diversity, equity, and inclusion. Fortunately, I was able to stay in a lower bunk for 2 nights, then had to move to another room because it was booked with a group, and my last night I was on a top bunk. :( My bunk bed light did not work. I informed them the following day, and it still wasn't working when I left 3 days later. The hostel has a no smoking policy. One of the men in my room was smoking. I informed the reception staff, and they did nothing about it. The hostel has quiet hours that begin at 10 pm. Middle school and high school children were running around and screaming until after 11 pm. When I went to reception, they did little to address thus concern. This was particularly frustrating because I had to be at 5 am to get to the train station. The hostel is also poorly designed, particularly the bathrooms. There are no hooks to put a towel and clothes. Bathroom doors open into other doors. There is poor drainage, leaving the floor extremely wet and waiting for someone to slip and fall. In the summer, the rooms are excruciatingly hot. Waking up hot, clammy, and sweaty is never a joy. They are trying to save the environment at the expense of hospitality. They will probably respond saying they informed me and couldn't do anything about my request. Be warned, this is an excuse. Any business in this day age age can make a difference. For ex., other hostels who have a similar set-up merely place a placard on a lower bunk saying it has been reserved. This does not require bunk numbers, only excellent guest service.

卢森堡本来就不大，所以不管是坐公交还是走路都很容易到达，住的六人间，卫生间和洗浴都在外面公共区域，带早餐，工作人员都很热情，给了很多帮助，推荐入住

每个床有个私密帘子就更好了
