The hostel is in an excellent location, on a quiet street in the old town, moments away from the main streets and square. Although we had our own bikes, the free bicycle rental is an excellent addition and they're in good quality. Also the hostel cat is adorable and loving!

The hostel was incredibly unclean and dirty. The communal area had junk and rubbish everywhere, it was dusty, smelled of smoke / dust. Also the toilets were so smelly and had no toilet paper. It wouldn't take much to give this place a clean and tidy, it would be much nicer for guests. The beds were so hard and uncomfortable and it was difficult to get to sleep. Also the hostel owner speaks no English so it was difficult to get advice and information about the area.

Location is in old town and close to the monastery.

Allergic to dust and cigarettes smoke should stay somewhere else. My roommate even smoke on his bed. The old fashion and modern toilets are not so clean so do the bathroom.

The location was fantastic right in the old town and only about 15 mins taxi away from songzalin monastery. The bedding was clean and soft.

The toilets were held together with tape, the showers and sink areas had clumps of hair in them that I thought might be end of day mess as I arrived later in the day but I don't think they'd been cleaned at all the next day. The sink area was unclean and messy, the plug socket for the hairdryer was lying in a puddle of water which is an accident waiting to happen. The toilet floors were flooded from the shower making the floors incredibly slippy. The bed was so squeaky and the plug socket at my bed didn't work. I guess you get what you pay for but if I was staying any longer than 1 night and a day I would have found other accomodation.
