The private room was great value and we had lovely views. It was spacious and had a sink also.

The owner was incredibly rude, very unsettling. On many occasions we encountered him speaking to other guests of the hostel in this manner too. His anger was worrying and not the sort of professionalism you expect from the owner of the Hostel. All the other staff were delightful it was a shame he had to ruin the experience for us. The bathrooms also were in a pretty shocking state, never saw anyone cleaning them.

Location and price were great! Glad to have a place to stay on Christmas day on my way up the coast. I left an item behind and Staff were helpful in putting it aside for me for me to pick up on my way back down!

As it was Christmas day, many of the other guests were up late (3am+) playing music extremely loudly in the courtyard outside. Staff was either not present or partying with the guests and my multiple requests for guests to turn the music down were met with ignorance. I understand the celebration of the New Year but I found it very difficult to get to sleep as a result, even with loop earplugs and clothing around my head in attempts to dampen the sound. I chose to stay here to break up a 10+ hour drive and avoid driving tired the next day, but I had such a restless night, I think I would have been better off parking by the beach and sleeping in my car. I'm sure staying here would be a much better experience on a non-holiday day without a party, but I would have appreciated a heads up from the staff when I booked so I could consider other options.

The room itself was fine, just not like in the pictures, but okay. However, the mattress was not comfortable at all. I couldn’t sleep properly because I could feel the springs pressing into my body.

Also, the breakfast wasn’t served before I checked out at around 7:30am, which was disappointing.
