Stuff was very friendly and helpful

The hostel was pretty quiet since it is the off season. It was quiet and with a well stocked kitchen.

Was hard to find the entrance and reception since the lights were off.

The room was clean and comfortable.

Make absolutely sure, when you are sent the code number that you'll need to enter the hotel, that you write it down! I turned up, there was no-one in reception, at whch point I tried to get online to read my code. There was absolutely no internet reception outside the hotel (though once inside, it was fine). There were two phone numbers on the door to get help: I rang both and neither was picked up (this at about 4:30pm). What could I do? In the end I went to the nearby Scandic Hotel, and asked them if I could briefly use their internet (which they kindly said 'yes' to), pick up the email with the code number, and return to the hostel and get in.

It was great that they were flexible with me arriving earlier and option to leave the car at the property as well as having the car there still on the day of the congress I visited when I checked out already in the morning. Nice that there was sauna turn and also option to buy a coffee in the common facilities when the restaurant was no longer open. Great location right next to the cross country skiing tracks. I will book here again when I am visiting Jyväskylä congress next time in winter.

Nothing negative

very clean and comfy rooms, easy access to sauna and to the kitchenette that we used every evening to cook our meal, access to a big smart TV (netflix available) and a sofa that we enjoyed to watch movies, direct access to the rental shop with fat bikes, ski, ... and proximity with the ski station is perfect! Nice trails in the forest to walk all day

in winter, when a lot of snow, the walking/ hiking/ biking paths are not at all indicated, the map given by the place is not very precise. You should ask for a room with the view on the ski station if you can, but still the view on the other side is not that bad

Fairly good price and a very good location with good bus connections to the city centre and JYU.

The cleanness of shared bathrooms was extremely poor! The second-floor bathroom was closed, and on the first floor, the bathroom was very dirty all around, and unused toilet papers were on the floor.

The bathrooms and toilets really need more cleaning and improvement.

A cheap room in an outdoor hostel, I recommend for a short stay. Very nice sauna included in the price. Good laundry facilities. Nice full body mirror in the room. Fridge in the room, though there could have been one in the kitchen too. Right next to various outdoor activities, adventure park, downhill skiing, jogging paths, hiking... the fireplace room was nice, though it would also have been nice to have had the option to actually use the fireplace.

The kitchen was a disappointment. There was just one portable stovetop, couple frying pans, but basically no utensils other than forks and knives, not even a cutting knife. Fridge only in the room. This hostel is really not well equipped for making your meals, rather for preparing readily bought microwave portions. The toilet seats were not regularly cleaned, and generally the bathrooms gave a bit of an untidy impression. Some other guests left the shower room completely soaked, I can hardly imagine how it was possible to get it so wet. I can recommend this hostel for a short stay. For my taste, the feeling in the room and the general atmosphere in the corridors was a bit too much facility-like, generic. The room itself was ok, with a sink and a fridge, though the fridge was making sound every now and then and resonated with the structure holding it, making a banging sound, which was unpleasant during the night, waking me up. I would say this hostel is for sports tourists or someone who needs a bed for a couple nights maximum.
