Gisele (recepção) was fantastic

Some other guests were too noisy.

Staff was nice and helpful. View of the river out back is beautiful. Wifi worked well. Breakfast was very impressive.

The quality of the room for the price is pretty bad. We paid about $50/night for a private room for 2 people (granted it had extra beds in it), and while it was comfortable enough, it looked like it was falling apart (walls visibly wet with humidity, kinda dirty). In every other place we’ve traveled in Brazil, a place like this would probably cost about half. That said, it seems like accommodation is expensive (for what your get) in this whole region, and the alternative options were much more expensive.

the backyard is really nice to hangout, at the river breakfast was good bathrooms were usually clean and cleaned everyday

the room was a bit mouldy, my locker was broken, after telling the staff three times it was finally fixed, all in all it took a day, luckily I could store my important things in another guests locker for this time

Location was a nice 5 min walk from the bars and restaurants, I always felt safe

Place looks really old; maybe Im just not used to staying in hostels, but it was really a stretch for me personally to be able to stay there at all (I had a single room)

The noise (not the hostel's fault), not enough bathrooms, kitchen, breakfast somewhat stingy.
