Decent, quiet location close walk from the train station restaurants and 711. Friendly staff. Nice lounge area downstairs to chill and have a coffee. Selling beers could amp up the social vibe (no smoking or drinking in the hostel). Rent a scooter, easy access to Taroko Park as well as the North coast.

It would be nice if they gave a regular towel to shower rather than the very small hand towels. Light comes into the room from the hall ( I shut off the hall light). Drilling some holes and installing a curtain rod and curtains would solve this. I like a firm bed so it was ok. Many may find it too hard. The bunk bed mattresses in the room looked pretty punched out (worn).

Great location, easy to find , short walk from station. Clean quiet and friendly.

No microwave, no towels, no window for daylight, but there was window onto corridor which allows light in all night.

Sunlight could come in the room. Too bright in the morning. Towels that were provided were too small.

The rooms are quite big for a hostel setup. The 2p beds are good. The place is relatively clean. The downstairs lounge with tables, coaches, tea and coffee is nice.

The mattresses of the bunkbeds are old and thin. There are only two bathrooms with toilet and shower combined, which is not much and blocks the toilets if someone is showering.
