Philly Coed Dorm!! 15 Min Train to Center City!!

This is a luxury looking private room and bathroom for cheap! The room was very clean, he has left mint candy and ear plugs with towels. I felt so safe here with the door having a code lock. The door was a little difficult to open, though.The bed was very comfortable, and I slept like baby. The owner made sure I had everything I needed and very caring, polite and respectful man.

I am not sure if they have a hostel over there or something else,everything about the location, the way it looked and the treatment they gave me was off, but despite all of that, the least they can. do is be available for their guests.To get through to the hostel, had to call a bunch of times,the first number was some random number from someone who had no clue what I was talking about, the second number worked, The reason I was calling is because there is literally nobody to help. I stood on street which was very dangerous and i stood out there for a while, i kept trying to call but the owner still didn't want to answer my calls whilst me standing on a dangerous street, I rebooked but still I could not reach him, meanwhile this whole time I am using a strangers phone. I rebooked eventually and still he took his time. It was so cold outside and having stood out there for so long,Eventually I left and went to another hostel,but still ended up falling really sick because of the amount of time I stood outside in the cold waiting for someone to let me in.I asked him for a refund but he had zero customer service and well what can i say. I got scammed!!!

There is only ONE bathroom in the house! I could not pee for 40 minutes because the other guest was taking a shower. Nobody told him that there are other people in this place. Stuff is there but not so friendly. The shower did not work and a person who is responsible for all these was very annoyed when I called him to fix it. The neighbourhood is not safe It is NOT 15 minutes to the city center but 30 -40 by dirty and dangerous train.

This place is amazing. I booked this place in a time of emergency and it has really been a hidden gem I am happy to have discovered. The host, Yin, is so cool and so helpful. I appreciate him more than he will ever know. The place is always clean, always peaceful, always welcoming, and always comfortable. Even with the "problem tenants," (because there's always one....🙄), Yin handles them with great patience and logic. I hope this place continues to flourish and thrive.

There were a couple of tenants who were just difficult people, trying to take advantage and disturb the peace. But, they were dealt with accordingly and things went right back to being peaceful.
