Staff are friendly

Shower and the toilet itself are not good. Its a ok place to stay in groups of friends, but not so good for a couple.

The breakfasts were lovely, it gave the stay great value. The dog that lives on the property was friendly and welcoming. The staff were helpful when asked about local activities. The owner was lovely and recommended we eat in Plettenberg Bay on our night of arrival as we would not find restaurants open beyond 8pm in Storm River, out of season. It's a decent little spot for a backpacker. For a discount book activities through the backpackers.

The the hot water shower takes a bit of technique. The booking makes it seem as if check-in is 24hrs (00:00 - 00:00), however, upon our arrival we were informed that we were late for check-in as it closes at 22:00.

The place has a really special vibe. The big garden is full of greenery with comfy spots to hang out, and every evening there’s a campfire with music, which made it feel super relaxed. The people running the place were so kind and helpful. We loved the breakfast, had a tasty dinner there too, and even saw monkeys in the garden a few times! Our room was simple but clean. They also organize e-bike tours, we did one and it was such a fun experience! There is lots to do in Storms River, we definitely come back and stay longer.

Very welcoming hosts and the rooms were lovely. We enjoyed a nice chat with some of the staff and other travellers in the evening. We took the scooter tour and had a great time seeing the natural beauty and the guide was knowledgeable and good fun. I would certainly highly recommend a stay here! (Free breakfast was included :))

Considering the wilderness of location, Dijembe backpackers offer excellent amenities. A special word about the hosts, who are super friendly and also really guides you regarding further planning of trip. They also offer a wide range of activities, altogether making it a very wonderful experience…

Had a lovely stay here. The owners were out taking someone to the airport but we were greeted by JB who was very friendly and welcoming. Nice communal areas, beautiful dog. Breakfast was nice but miscommunication over time so it was cold for us. But still yummy. Room was well decorated with a nice vibe. Comfy bed. Getting hot water in the shower was an adventure but we did have a good shower 😊 Walkable to restaurants and very safe town/village. Perfect for national park.
