horrible place!! its so dangerous. even a taxi would not want to take you there please run away!!

everything. trash everywhere. and its in a fabella there people with guns outsidee you will get rob if you go there read the others reviews. the good reviews are fake reviews.

the view is superb from the terrace, Gil is very nice, it is very clean and I do not understand the bad ratings on the location, yes it is in a favela but the people of the community are very respectful. there is the main road very close to the alley so taxis and Uber can drop you off. otherwise the motorcycle taxis are always present. the beach is 10 minutes away.

Nothing bad for me.

This is unsafe area inside the pavela even the taxi driver don't want to get inside the you will get mug don't go over there I got robbed with guys with guns

"At the very top of the favela, lots of walking. Bear this in mind."

The beds were comfortable enough.

The hostel was at the very top of the hill in a favela so was very tiring to get to, especially as taxis/ubers will not drive up the hill - nor can you call one up the hill, you have to walk down to Ipanema. They don't provide toilet paper, you need your own.

Perfect location. Although it's in favela, it was pretty safe and we could get a chance to be part of their community for a while. Gil, the hostess, was very helpful and kind. There's an amazing view from the rooftop. Private room was comfortable and very clean (just smelling a bit of fresh paint but soon it will be vanished). Close to the subway station, restaurants and many other attractions around Ipanema Beach. It was worthy!!!!!! We loved there!

The kitchen was not clean to be used. Prepare your legs if you're up to walk to the hostel from the subway station - it's a steep hill. Or get a ride with a motorbiker (not expensive).

Very clean and cheap hostel not far from Copacabana and Ipanema beach

No response from host and hostel in the middle of a favela
