Die Lage

Wir haben ein Schlafsofa in einem Schlafsaal auf Booking gebucht um in einem Bett zusammen schlafen zu können. Dies war der Grund weshalb wir den Unterkunft gebucht haben. Als wir aber ankamen stellte sich fest, dass es dieses Zimmer überhaupt nicht gab. Die Wirtin hat diesen Fehler ihrerseits nicht einsehen wollen und am Ende haben wir nur das Geld einer der beiden Nächte zurückbekommen und nicht mal die erste Nacht dort verbringen dürfen.

Ameno is a lovely authentic village in the hills above Lake Orta. The hostel is a great economical place to stay while exploring the area - a car is very useful. I loved having a working kitchen to use & the location is nice with a wee park just outside with shade & seats. The bar across the courtyard is friendly & not too noisy usually. It shuts early anyway. The bathroom was good, although only one toilet & shower per gender, so if a lot of guests it could be difficult. Giuditta was so helpful & accomodating with all of my questions & requests: a very kind but busy lady.

To make things perfect, a towel would be nice & also at least hand soap for the bathrooms. In the summer heat, leaving the windows open then lets the mosquitoes in, so a fan or insect screens would be great too. Just suggestions but overall I loved my stay here. Thank you

Lovely hostel , clean quiet comfy equipped kitchen in Ameno a charming village near to the Orta lake Sweet garden outside the hostel with views and the local cafe bar was opposite for apéro and coffee etc A small shop for food papers ice creams etc 2 mins walk away from hostel A couple of pizzerias and auberges fairly near for reasonably priced meals Good free parking Plenty of tourist info and books Really modern shower rooms all new Great walks around the local area including down to the lake Guidetta was very efficient

Personally nothing at all, it was a good stay Guidetta was so kind and let us have the room to ourselves , thank you I think if the dorm room had been full however some curtain around each Bed for privacy would be great !!! It's a quiet rural village so don't expect action or a million shops or restaurants Go to the lake side for that, it's a 10 minute drive Or an easy walk in 45 mins down a quiet path
