Location. Price. Cleanliness.

Love to have one more room for shower on 2/F even though it's shared. Also, a power supply upgrade would be very helpful for people to use the kitchen facilities. It's kind of inconvenient that only one of the electric appliances - kettle, toaster (and cook?) - can be used at any time or it will cause an outage.

Lack of showers and washbasins

The hostel is closed to the Hongu Taisha Mae bus stop which made it very convenient for early transfer. The bunk bed was very sturdy, it made no noise when I went up and down. There are quilt, blanket, matress and black out curtain so it was pretty private and warm at night. Thank god this time I was with all quiet sleepers in the dorm bedroom. The bathroom was clean with instant hot water and toilet was clean too. There is always an english instruction at the most needed places, so I felt quite ok navigating all the house equipments and appliances.

We stayed there for two nights to reduce the trouble of transport connections between accommodation and Kumano Kodo trail heads. We like the great location (right next to Hongu Taisha and 200m from bus station), good prices. We took 2 tatami twin rooms and 2 bunk beds. Curtains of the bunk beds blocked the lights. Reading lamp and clothes hangers available in the beds are very user-friendly. Owner of the hostel Katsu san was quite friendly. Although meals were not available, he was kind enough to give us bread and snacks with butter, peanut butter and jam in the refrigerator free for use.

Power outage when more than one electric appliance was used. The signage could have been clearer. Instead of saying "the kettle, the toaster and the coffee maker can't be used at the same time" , it would be helpful to state only one device may be used, or guests might think they can use up to two devices. Other than this. All good!

Le localisation proche de la route bruyante. Il n'y a pas de rideaux occultants pour la nuit et c'est un problème.
