Lime & Co Hostel

Unglaublich freundliches Personal - auch eine Verlängerungsnacht konnte kurzfristig unkompliziert ermöglicht werden. Die Anlage selbst ist super gemütlich, schön gestaltet und entspricht den Fotos. Netter kleiner Pool, gemütliche Sitzecken im Schatten und einige Liegen - mehr braucht man nicht! Nur einmal über die Straße gelaufen ist man in einer Minute am Strand, der auch zum Baden einlädt, einfach perfekt! Zu Fuß sind einige Cafés und Restaurants gut erreichbar. Das Hostel selbst bietet kein Frühstück an, direkt nebenan ist aber ein süß Café. Das Zimmer war geräumig, schön gestaltet, sehr sauber und gemütlich. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt und würden jederzeit wieder kommen :)

Keine Kritik, da uns dies vorher bewusst war, dennoch sei angemerkt, dass es aufgrund der fehlenden Klimaanlage im Zimmer (nur Ventilator) nachts durchaus sehr heiß sein kann. Der Zug fährt zudem direkt vorbei, man sollte also nicht zu lärmempfindlich sein. Wir kamen mit beidem gut zurecht - darf gerne jeder für sich selbst einschätzen.

We stayed at Lime&Co on the first days in Sri Lanka and it was just perfect. The beds are very comfortable, the rooms are quite nice and everything was properly clean. There’s no A/C, but the fan gets the job done. Outdoor area is lovely too. It’s also very well located in Midigama, close to the surf spots. What you get for what you pay is just ideal, would definitely recommend staying here! Besides that, everyone was very welcoming and Kumara is the kindest host I ever met! I realised I had just lost my passport and he instantly took me to the surf rental, the food corner and even went with me to the police station; whilst doing that, he managed to find the tuktuk driver, who then found the passport and brought it to me. I will never forget how helpful Kumara was!

It can get noisy from trains but since train passes very close to the beach here, its a normal price to pay to be steps away from the ocean. My bf is 183 cm and he was just a few cm too tall for the bed but other than that it was a very comfy bed

Friendly staff & very helpful

Our favourite place to stay in Sri Lanka, we came back here to stay again and felt like we were welcomed back by family. The rooms and bathrooms are so nice, the staff are wonderful, it’s clean and tidy everywhere and such a gorgeous location with a pool and close to the beach.
