The apartment was surprisingly difficult to find. They just told us the door code but did not specify WHICH door.. no instructions were given and finding the correct entrance was much harder than it should have been, especially late at night in a city we didn't know. When we finally found the right door (by accident), an older woman opened it and immediately started shouting at us in Russian. We don't speak Russian so we had no idea what she was saying and couldn't explain anything. Instead of trying to help or communicate with us, she simply refused to let us in. What made the whole situation even worse was that our booking was later marked as a "no-show" even though we were literally standing at the door trying to get inside. I've stayed in many places and never experienced anything like this. Getting lost can happen, language barriers can happen, but being shouted at and refused entry is not acceptable. I wish I could give a -10 rating.
