Property Notes

Please note, minimum age to stay in the hostel is 18 years of age (children cannot be accommodated). Check-in starts at 13:00, check-out is possible until 11:00. Late check-out will be charged $50 MXN per person. Any check-out after 14:00 will be charged for 1 night. Pkease note that an extra environmental tax of 48.85 (MXN) per night per room and that it will be charged upon arrival. Payment is due upon check in. Payment Method: Cash (MXN). It is strictly prohibited to possess or consume any type of illegal drugs at the hostel. Anybody found using drugs will be turned over to the authorities immediately and banned from the hostel. Vandalism is taken very seriously. Anything destroyed must be paid for by the person responsible. The hostel provides secure facilities for your convenience, but is not responsible for anything stolen or lost on its premises during your stay. Alcohol cannot be brought into the hostel. It is strictly prohibited for non-guests to enter the rooms. For security reasons, all guests are required to wear a wristband. On wednesday we have our weekly super party, especially for the dance lovers and nightcrawlers! Because we love and respect our lovely lagoon, Bacalar gives it on wednesday the chance to rest and therefore there are no tours or other water activities during the whole day. A deposit may be required at the property.

"Great place, just bring your ear plugs"

Amazing location and really nice friendly clean hostel overlooking the lagoon with all facilities and loads of activity options . Right in centre of town for really great restaurants. Sailing tours on site, morning yoga, organised trips to los rápidos, salsa night etc... A great place to meet fellow travellers, make friends and staff always on hand to help. Would recommend and loved Bacalar

Personally, as older travellers we found the evening noise too much for our liking. Definitely 💯 perfect for the younger party animal who doesn’t need their sleep! a few extra coffees needed the next morning. 🤣 I appreciate this is a hostel and we knew it was going to be fairly noisy so can’t really complain. Everything else about the place more than makes up and I would recommend

Si no eres de los que les encanta la fiesta definitivamente no llegues un miércoles, es imposible dormir antes de las 3 am

Me encantó, la ubicación ideal, el personal muy amable, la comida muy rica, las vistas a la laguna increíbles, la habitación muy bonita, confortable y limpia, y los servicios extra excelentes, volveré la próxima vez que esté en Bacalar. 10 de 10 Súper recomendado :D

"Alba incredibile"

È un ostello e sono contenta delle varie attività proposte quotidianamente. La mia stanza era vista laguna e al mattino amavo svegliarmi con i colori dell'alba.

Purtroppo i servizi sono stati molto deludenti. Il bagno era sprovvisto di acqua da un certo orario durante la notte e prima delle 07 del mattino non c'era. Questo è stato molto disagiante perché non ti permetteva di lavarti nemmeno i denti a quell'ora. Lo staff non era pronto al freddo e l'ultima sera abbiamo dovuto utilizzare gli asciugamani per coprirci perché loro avevano finito le coperte per gli ospiti e non si potevano consegnare più di due lenzuola a testa. Se vuoi riposare non è il posto giusto perché, soprattutto nel weekend, c'è musica fino a tardi.

El personal como Javi, muy simpático, amable, preocupado y amigable!!

Q el desayuno pagado no incluía té o café, insólito! Tb q el día de juegos estaba ahí, pero el voluntario gringo sólo me ignoró. Ofreció a todos, incluso shot y a mi sólo me saltó, así q no participé. Me sentí algo discriminada ya q era la única latina...

Amazing location, right on the lake front and perfect for walking around the town. Very relaxed and sociable atmosphere. Rooms are basic but plenty of space.
