SWEET HOSTEL LUXOR

Nice Breakfast. Kind Staff

Nothing. But when I was staying, whole Luxor city had water supply problem. So I couldn't take a shower. It is not Sweet Hostel's problem, but Luxor city problem.

The staff were very welcoming, down to earth when it comes to helping.

I stayed two nights, the first was very good they served me well and gave me early breakfast as i will be fasting during the day. But they didn't ask me or provide me the same for the next day. So i have to fast with an empty stomach. But i should have asked the night prior to it.

Super nice owners, good location, Egyptian clean, good breakfast!

Unfortunately the beds, the springs were coming out of the mattress.

First of all, the hostel is a hostel not a hotel so remember that :) for a short stay it was really nice, in good location. The rooms were clean and with a lot of sockets, toilet was also very clean even though you ser its and old building and old facilities. The most important thing was people around as its managed by a greay guy that offered us a lot of help and support. We could check in earlier and leave our staff next day. The kids around are also sweet, they even offered us to eat together after iftar. They were very helpful and the hostel is decorated with the picutures of children which i found super cute. The welcoming atmosphere definately was a HUGE plus. Great value for money. Greetings from Poland, again.

Nothing, maybe if i stayed longer i could conplain about old facilities but everything was super clean so it definatwly wasnt an issue for a short stay.

A very handy location and set up. A handy tour upto the valley of the kings shared with others at the hostel arranged by the hostel.

The mattresses were not comfy.

Unfortunately I did not enjoye almost nothing in this place, I have described it in details in another part of my opinion.

We spent there 3 nights and most of our stay we had no water (in tap/shower/toilet). The staff was telling us that the water would be available soon and did nothing about this. At the end of our stay, they offered to move us to another hostel with water, but we had no time for moving because we wanted to do sightseeing and that offer was unclear whether we needed to pay extra for that. Staff actually did nothing; they did not give us even a few bottles of water. We could not take a shower, wash hands, or use the toilet - for me it was a disaster, because those were quite hot days, we were outside, and there was a lot of dust and sand in the air. This place offers no furniture besides beds. We had no place to store our stuff, so we kept it on the third bed, but it was a decent solution. We could not open the windows - they were covered with window moldings, so we had only the light of two lamps from the ceiling - we had no other sources of light - only the strong, blue light lamps from the ceiling, which were unpleasant in the morning or in the evening/night. I had there my three worst nights in Egypt here - a lot of noise - like Islamic songs, cars, motorbikes - we felt terrible in the morning. I measured my sleep quality with a Garmin watch, it said that the quality of sleep was extremely poor. The location is not appealing - a small street with a lot of "horse and dog remains", lots of rubbish, and people were making some kind of campfires, so it was a lot of smoke in the air. The kids were throwing firecrackers, so according to all that I have described, my girlfriend felt unsafe. Just after we had left the hotel, some man pretended to be the son of the hotel owner and tried to take us to a restaurant and told us that all the others would make us sick, which was, of course, a big scam. I have been in Egypt for 9 days, in Cairo and in Hurghada, but this one was the worst.

The people around the hostel are really great. They try to help you with anything. They can also organize basically anything for you. It's located 5 minutes from the train and bus station and also the temple. Despite being in a worry dodgy street where you don't want to talk to locale people in the streets, it's quite. There is also a quite rooftop which I enjoyed most.

The whole building really feels old, and the rooms are not the nicest. The location is really great as it is a walking distance to the main things, but you don't want to walk the streets...

Location wise it's good Staff is very good Just be aware of the tax service there will over charge you
