Sunset Surf Camp

L'endroit est très propre, les hôtes sont accueillants et chaleureux et l'équipement est au top.

Malheureusement il n'y a pas de tv, et c'est un peu déroutant de voir des gens traverser le bungalow assez souvent en plus.

I had a great time at Sunset Surf Camp. The owners are very friendly and helpful, the rooms and common area/kitchen are clean and well organized. On top - there are 2 pools, sunbeds and hammocks in the beautiful garden :-) Also surfing was great!

Well there is nothing to complain about regarding the Camp, but I would recommend to rent a car, as it is a little bit outside the town!

THIS SPOT IS A GEM Hosts are incredible : you instantly feel like you're part of a family, they are available, ready to help at all time, adorable Lots of activities available vs $ It's a huge place : you can socialize if you wish, or stay on your own They organize some ice breaking events so you can easily met people and organize activities for coming days I always felt safe and secure : you don't need to watch you stuff They are some lovely dogs and cats I've been remotely working here for 7 days : internet connection is strong and you can find some good spot to work and complete meetings That's one of the best hostel I ever tried, I would come back here without any hesitation This is not just an hostel : it's an experience you need to try !

Bring some mosquito repellent Remind it's an hostel : if you want to fully stay on your own, independent and looking for a fully quiet environment and isolation, this might not be the best place to choose.

The place is clean and has a great location

There were no mosquito nets in front of the windows and there were windows you could not close. As soon as you turned the light on in your room, you were attacked by mosquitos - not great with a dengue epidemic on the island. Only go to this place if you do not mind a lot of noise at night. The owner had his friends over for multiple parties during my stay that severely impacted people’s sleep and did not stop even after concerns were voiced. Externals also used the private bathrooms of guests as they are accessible from the common areas. It would have been a much nicer stay with a bit more consideration.

The night I arrived (after a very long flight) the owners had a large get together for their friends on the property (in the space that was advertised as communal space for guests). This space was also located directly off the guest rooms & there was guitar playing/yelling/singing/clapping/etc literally right outside my room until after midnight. The owners had multiple parties for their friends on the property in the space for guests & every time it was incredibly loud until very late. The bathrooms are not private & they are not connected to the rooms. This meant having to go out into a large group when I had to use the bathroom at night. The owners’ friends also used my bathroom (they left personal belongings inside) as well as other guests’ “private” bathrooms as they wished. I stayed for 5 nights & was barely able to sleep at all with the noise & had next to no privacy with the set up of rooms being directly connected to communal spaces. (I stayed Sunday-Friday so these super late loud drunk parties were all on weekdays). The last night I was there the owner got belligerently drunk & started mocking my accent & saying very offensive things, this continued despite that others told him his comments were inappropriate. I’ve traveled extensively & never felt the need to leave a bad review but the owners absolute lack of basic respect & consideration for their guests was appalling. Staying here was a terrible experience & I would give it a rating of zero if that was possible.
