Clean and comfortable.

The listing says the room is shared with 4 bedrooms, but there are actually 16 people in the same room, maybe 4 bunk beds facing each other, but the description isn’t clear about that.

The bathroom and toilet are separate, and there are quite a few shower rooms available.

The room is extremely small; the mattress is too soft; when you first turn on the hot water tap, the water comes out rusty brown; and there is no luggage storage service. When I asked the online customer service if they knew anywhere in town that offered luggage storage, the reply was simply that they didn’t know. In the end, we had to find a place ourselves. The first few issues are clearly hardware-related, but the last one really comes down to poor service standards.

Dues persones van ocupar els nostres llits (en una habitació compartida de 4 llits tan sols) i la mestressa del local va haver de fer mans i mànigues per localitzar qui havia ocupat els nostres llits i recol·locar-los. Vam estar més d'una hora per recuperar-los, i durant aquesta estona ens van oferir un reemborsament dels diners, o una solució alternativa en una habitació amb molts més llits (8 or 12), que no és el que havíem demanat. Òbviament, aquestes no éren solucions que ens satisfeien perquè ja era tard i era un dia festiu i estaven tots els allotjament de Kendal ja ocupats i no haguéssim trobat cap altra opció. La mestressa de l'alberg es va excusar dient que havia estat un error de Booking.com, però a mi no em va convèncer els arguments que va fer servir. Malgrat que al final es va solucionar (al cap de més d'una hora d'espera), no crec que hi tornem. Han de solucionar i assegurar-se que la gent NOMÉS pot accedir a la seva habitació i només pot ocupar el llit que li ha estat assignat. Necessiten més mesures de seguretat i processos d'assignament de llits més estrictes. Això no només afecta l'estada dels hostes, sinó també la seguretat dels efectes personals de la gent. El guàrdia de seguretat era una persona encantadora i treballadora que va fer tot el possible perquè estiguéssim a gust durant la nostra estada, i això és de molt agraïr.

Very friendly people, everything was taken care of. A good hostel experience! Rooms were very clean, staff was friendly, kitchen was well-equipped (even had an induction stove!) Rooms were good, maybe could've used a couple more outlets, but with the room not being full it worked well.

Place was desserted all day and night, you're left to get on in peace. Really cool layout for a hostel. Very clean, probably busier in peak summer. I had a great stay!
