Pipes Hostel

Nice place with cozy atmosphere. They had pool, skate area and restaurant. You could refill water free.

A bit hot upstairs, the air conditioner did not reach fully to second floor.

One of the best hostels I’ve stayed in throughout my travels. Absolutely amazing staff- they make this place. Comfy beds, great social areas, lovely pool, cafe isn’t overpriced and really good food/drinks. Friday bbq is such a good way to meet people

You will need a bike as it’s a bit far from town/surf spots. Wi-Fi doesn’t reach the rooms

facilities are perfect and the rooms are very clean

too far out for people that are not comfortable driving a scooter, because the hostel is a dive hostel with a lot people staying long-term it’s extremely clichy and a lot harder to socialize there

This is my very favorite place to crash. I kept on extending and extending and extending. The facilities itself are great, the staff is the just the best (Emmy, Risky, Eno, Baiq, Rocky, thx so much for making this place feel like home). If you need something, you’ll have it arranged. You won’t get bored, there is a pipe, a slack line, a kitchen to use, a refreshing pool, good coffee in the café. Plus you’ll meet most likely some handsome surferpeeps here haha. The staff at pipes is incredible, you feel like home from the first moment. It's super clean, the vibe is amazing.

If you stay longer, like in every dorm, it would be nice to have a shelf or something for the clothes.

The whole hostel has a good atmosphere, encouraging people to meet each other and socialise in areas like the pool, cafe and reception lounge. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hostel also has a car/driver who can take people to surf beaches if they don't want to rent a scooter (total price for pickup and drop off was IDR 150k)

The Wifi doesn't reach all the hostel rooms. Also the showers are faulty, many don't have hot water and very low pressure so people were going to dorms that weren't theirs to use better ones. In some dorms the top bunk beds didn't have curtains for privacy. The cafe breakfast took 40 mins to arrive which made us late for an early morning surf lesson.
