Bedrock Boutique Hostel

The dormitory is ugly, small and smells really bad, the toilet plenty of humidity and awful smell that you can not stay inside more than 2 minutes. The power of the water is very low so you can not wash your hair, and hot water takes 6 minutes to come so you will waste a lot of water, what about the sostenibility of the earth? They don’t provide you towel for the shower and the bed sheets are just fine, lying down on my bed with my foots i can touch the foots of the boy that was sleeping in his bed, it was disgusting. There is something that separe it but not completely. No shared fridge, common area for eat but they don’t hace neither a big bottle of water to fill in your personal bottle(you can ask for it just from 8am until 10pm). I was asking for the menu at their bar and for breakfast they just offer you: omelette bread and maggi… last day i ask for hot water but they didn’t give because they don’t have gas! Crazy: no gas, no breakfast, in a hotel 24h running. The staff don’t speak english so you can not comunícate with them so if you need something you can ask for the manager that is very kind and helpful but of course he is not always there. I told all the problems to the manager and he just offer me a room with extra payment and he was using air freshener spray into the dormitory that it was worse to mix the smell of pee and air freshener Then i was asking for some help to book a bike and they don’t recommend me any place, neither for money exchange, laundry and all of this services that you can need it. They don’t provide you advices ir offer you help. I ask him some help to book a bus tickets and he makes me go to Mapusa Bus stand and was necessary so he try all his best but they are not ready to run an international hostel. Maybe locals are happy with this treatment because they speak the same language so they can have good comunication. Locker? Forget it!

Location is accessible and bed is good.

Best place to be in North Goa rather it be for grp or a solo travellers best place better rates and also all are welcoming here. And the vibe and ambience is the best. Really enjoyed my time there. Next time Goa will be Bedrock for sure.
