Noname Hostel And Cafe

Very nice owner! Great place! Awesome location for viewpoints and things to do! I little bit of the main touristroad, which is super nice! And still close enough to everything. Delicious and changing breakfast. They don’t take advantage of you being a tourist!

Its proximity to places of interest in Ella like the Nine Arch bridge and Little Adam’s Peak.

The staff were nice.

I came because of the high score and got super disappointed. The property is tiny and has nothing to offer. No people. I suspect that full capacity in this place is 7. Breakfast was small, and just sweets.

Nice and quiet, very good vibes and the staff is great! I felt very comfortable and ended up staying longer than what I was suppose to.

The breakfast was delicious and the staff were very friendly and nice. I particularly enjoyed the pancakes in the morning with the plate of fruit. It was also great that filtered water was available, you don't always find it! The staff were also very helpful on giving recommendations on places to go, how to get there and how much to pay.

I didn't like the fact that renovation works started at 7-8am.. I think it was a bit too early for that. Also it was very difficult to gage when the hostel closed in the evenings because you could come back at 8pm and there are no communal areas to hang out in because everything has been stored away. Would be good to communicate that. The beds were also not very comfortable and the sheets were constantly damp.

Excellent excellent hostel. I spent a week here and couldn't have felt more comfortable. The hostel is excellently located on the edge of town, being much quieter than the other hostels. But it is still less than a 2 minute walk to shops and restaurants, etc. (start of Little adams peak and 9 arch Bridge trail as well). The hostel has easily the best view of any hostel in town, looking over a valley with wildlife and children playing cricket. I really enjoyed finding new things at this hostel from artwork I hadn't seen before to binoculars left out to look across the valley. I met some great people at the hostel, but for a social drinking night, I went to Hungover Hostel for a few nights. It goes without saying but the owner and staff are amazing. I would be lying on the couch and have a breakfast cooked and made for me. So as bad as it sounds I'd have a delicious breakfast while just laying down with a nice view. Felt secure there with all the cameras and often just left all my stuff out.

I really liked the place. It is calm and the staff is really friendly and helpful.🌞 The location is good, it is close to beautiful nature and some hiking activities, but also close to the town (maybe 10min walking).

Good view, but that's possible in many places in Ella.

I have never written a negative review but this place was a shocker. Be very careful staying here! A fellow traveller caught staff stealing money from his money pouch that he left in the room (there were no other roommates in that room). Cook and the owner would randomly enter the bottom room (where there is no camera coverage), when they thought people were out during the day and would pick 2-3 bills from his stack of cash. This happened repeatedly. When we learnt of this, we decided to check out, and when we confronted the owner he got very defensive, and said police complaints are impractical and takes 4 days to complete so you'll have to stay in Ella till then, which was a lie. He said that knowing we wanted to leave and was discouraging us from filing a complaint. We left here with a very negative feeling, please be careful, and if you decide to stay here (for whatever reason) lock everything!!

The staffs were really friendly and the breakfast was really good!

There was no water at night till morning :(

Bed was super comfy and the staff were very nice.

This is more my personal issue but I'm allergic to dogs and there's one that runs around the cafe upstairs. And the room is a bit dark, but fine if you spend most of your time upstairs in the cafe space.
