They changed the price as soon as we arrived there, we had to pay more than it was advertised on booking.com

Alot of drunken..In just one day there were 3 drunks The rooms are so close to each other you will literally hear everything from your neighbour...There is no kitchen or dishes...Bed size is very very small

So dirty and smells like someone is smoking. no comfort. Rooms are not cleaned and bed clothes are very dirty and old. Toilet has been never cleaned and smells even at the corridor. Bad staff, no attention. I booked room in this hostel at Booking.com and wrote my preferences: that I will arrive to hostel at late time because of flight. But when I arrived my booked room was taken by someone else and host lady told me that there’s no place for tonight. I called hotel’s admin but she responded me that she doesn’t care about my booked room, So I don’t recommend ANYONE to stay at the Golden Gates hostel . It doesn’t worth to pay money for stay in a dirty place.

No lights out or no food in room policy. Booked a 6 person bedroom but was placed in a 10 person room because the owner told me a female was already in the 6 person bedroom instead of a female only room so I was downgraded for that. Cohabitant local was extremely discourteous with dirty plates of old eggs smelling the room upon check in and still there at night. After 11, cohabitant was up all night loudly typing on his laptop with his lights on, eating and clinking spoons against his cup of tea. He was politely asked to work at the desk outside on his laptop so I could sleep but he refused. I had to pack my bags and move myself into a different and empty room so I could sleep. Would recommend Globe Runner instead
