There's no bidet in the toilet, which is a big problem for hygiene :)

This hostel is tucked away in central Nara, only a ten minute walk from Nara and Kintetsu Nara station, so if you have bulky luggage, this isn't much of a problem. Nara station also has a supermarket KOHYO which is very convenient for sushi, bentos and everyday food. The location is superb, only less than 20min walk from hot tourist spots such as Nara Deer Park, Ukimido Pavillion and Mochiido Center Town, especially Todaiji temple and Fukushuen Garden. Honestly could not ask for a better location. I barely took the subway or buses because of how close everything is. What I loved alongside location is the comfort the hostel provided. For the price, the rooms are comfortable, with a nice black out curtain for privacy and a little bedside light and clothing hooks. Complimentary amenities are provided: shampoo, slippers, borrowed towel and mini toothbrush are provided. The hostel also provides complimentary tea and coffee, and a hot water machine for pot noodles or instant soups. The spring season had gotten warmer, and there’s an air con in the rooms to use. The cleanliness and beds are very clean. Staff very attentive and accomodating. You can see that the cleanliness is maintained throughout the day and sheets and towels are washed. Air is well ventilated for guests. The common room is very spacious, and a main highlight of the property. I loved the sofas next to the little garden to relax in, and it's got a nice ambience from the decor. Overall a great spot to stay short term.

From my personal experience there have been few groups of Germans who stayed and went, which I found surprising, and do not follow basic etiquette. There’s been loud conversations in neighbouring rooms that goes well into 1am, expect this issue from foreign groups. This is the main source of discomfort during the stay. This is minor, but the duvet covering is a bit strange, with no closure, and as such it falls out during the night. There have been complaints from others that the toilets are extremely small, which is worth noting if this is something you may have issues with. I didn’t personally and it does the job. It's worth noting this hostel is a standard modern Japanese house, and not a typical hotel building. The bathrooms would naturally be small but the size of the dorm/rooms, and extra common spaces on the upper floor compensates for this.

Très bon accueil ! J’ai pu déposer mes affaires avant d’aller visiter la ville. Proche du centre ville, idéal le soir pour aller ce balader et manger au resto.
