1770 Beachside Backpacker & Motel

Really friendly atmosphere, I think it was the owner who come and spoke to us after we checked in and provided us with some recommendations on where to visit, he was really nice. We had just come from Nomads hostel and Beachside 1770 was much better!!

There was a melted sweet near the bed on the floor from a previous guest which hadn’t been cleaned, not the end of the world however. Everything else was clean.

Clean, quiet, good atmosphere, free breakfast, you can also rent a board! What else ? It’s amazing I highly recommend!

Location, facilities, well equipped kitchen, welcoming and considerate friendly manager & staff, people you meet, air con in my room with ensuite, clean……

Located short bush walk to beautiful beach. The coffee van out front, met some locals. Manager super nice and informative. Cold fridge, big kitchen and sitting space. Decor is thoughtful and beach vibe. Dbl Room is tiny - big bathroom with good fanlight.

Old double bed was uncomfortably firm for me. Needs more power outlets. I would prefer more kitchen signs paper towels and black marker for naming my stuff. But I'm a fussy oldie...

Small but comfortable and clean rooms. Hostel was quiet and has all the facilities you need. Did a surf lesson at a place down the road was allot of fun.

Hostel was very quiet and not much going on.
