"Empfehlenswert"

Sehr freundlicher Empfang, alles im Haus durfte genutzt werden, schöne Küche und großer Aufenthaltsraum. Zwei sehr hoch gelegene Kippfenster im Zimmer die man mit einem Haken verstellen konnte wenn man auf einen Stuhl stieg. Dusche funktionierte super. Tee, Kaffee und Wasserkocher im Zimmer. Frühstück durfte ich mir selbst in der Küche nehmen. Angenehme Atmosphäre. Herzlicher Gastgeber.

Es hätte ein bisschen sauberer sein können, war aber insgesamt akzeptabel.

As others have said, Steve is so welcoming, accommodating and helpful, with bonus great conversations that really made us want to stay a couple more days to continue the exchanges. Such a life he’s led! Our room was comfortable and big enough to keep our bikes out of the weather, and the kitchen has everything you could need if you decide to stay in and cook for the evening. The host is very welcoming and knowledgeable of the locyal area. The room was comfortable and clean. The communal kitchen is very well equipped and stocked for breakfast. The town centre location is very convenient. I'd highly recommend a stay here.

"A peaceful and characterful retreat"

James John Hamilton House was exactly the sort of place we enjoy staying in when travelling. Full of character, history and quirky details, it felt more like staying in someone’s much-loved home than a holiday rental.
