AUI stayed for a short time during August 24. It was the low season so it was very empty. However, the staff are so nice and welcoming. I booked a single queen room and it was cosy with air con. The location is excellent and just 1 min walk to the Chiang Rai Bus Terminal 3.
I don't usually stay in hostels so I am very peculiar with amenities. On this occasion I only had 1 issue with the cleanliness and it was minor. It was also raining quite heavy at times which made it a little harder to explore.

INAUFriendly staff, good location (near night bazaar and night markets on Saturday), easy to help book trips and give information on travel, very clean, coffee and tea facilities
No water and fridge is closed after 9pm till when the front desk gets there next day (11-12)
FIA wonderful place to stay for backpackers. The location is amazing, the facilities are great. The owners Neung and Bpern are amazing people! They were so friendly to me, I felt right at home for these couple of days❤️ P'Neung told me about how this hostel came to life and I was so impressed, there is so much effort and hard work behind it all. I'm sad my trip was so short, I'd love to stay for a little bit longer!

GBNes and Apple made the stay for me, they made me feel so welcome it was like home! The beds are bigger than a single which was such a nice treat, the rooms and bathrooms are kept really clean and they even have complimentary tea, coffee and cakes/fruits as well as 2 hostel pups that made the stay that much better. Thank you for your hospitality, I'll look forward to coming back!
GBEverything to be honest, the host Apple was very welcoming and helpful, providing all the info I needed and even bakes lovely treats for everyone. The facilities were the cleanest I’ve stayed in so far and it’s set up so well, the curtains on all the beds makes it feel like you have your own private space. AC worked a dream too.
Can’t fault it. Would happily stay here again if I found myself in Chiang Rai.
