Jugendherberge Oberammergau

Place was very clean. Good size room & bathroom- we chose the room with private bathroom.

No luggage storage facility although they did allow us to leave our luggage in the laundry room at own risk.

Convenient and beautiful location with a five minute walk along the river to everything Oberammergau has to offer. Breakfast was typical German food - for those who like it.

Room was small, poorly laid out for two people, and entirely painted an oppressive shade of bright blue. Overall, the hostel tries too hard to be hip (bean bag chairs in the lobby, cubical couches elsewhere, graffiti board in the hall, bright solid colors, etc.). Walls are thin and normal volume voices could be heard next door. Other guests’ doors slamming in the morning were LOUD and shook the room.

Staff were great.

walking distance 10 min to Oberammergau passion theater, closer to the church, the staff were helpful and good breakfast

The space of Jugendberge was fresh, full of joy, well illuminated, with a kindly staff. Breakfast exceded my expectations and in four minutes I was in center.
