Madeira Surf Camp

Great place to stay and discovery island.

I spent a week in Madeira Surf Camp and I can only recommend this place. The rooms and the kitchen were clean and had everything you need, but the best thing about it was the terrace with a beautiful view of Porto da Cruz and the sea. Porto da Cruz is a very charming and small town and it is perfect if you want to go surfing. I can highly recommend the surflessons that the hostel offers. I already had some surfing experience, but the teachers were amazing and I learned a lot from them. Héldar was also a great host, who really tried care for his guests. All in all I had a great time.

The only thing I could say here is that some of the chairs on the terrace were not in the best condition anymore but Héldar already told us that he will buy new ones soon.

Everithing was perfect. Good location, no problem with parking. Nice apartment i recommend it.

We loved our stay at Madeira surf camp a lot. It’s very clean and the kitchen has everything you need for cooking, additionally it’s cozy and great for connecting to other guests. The terrace is a great place with a beautiful view to relax. Thanks a lot, totally recommend to stay here!

I liked pretty much everything - clean room, great location, great downstairs lobby, even better upstairs roof area with bbq, lounge chairs. It really is an amazing property, very convenient to check-in and check put with key box, super convenient to stay when exploring the north-east of Madeira. We don’t surf, but we met other surfers that came to Madeira Surf Camp and they loved it.

Nothing bad about the property , BUT the Island Apart’s guests webpage is just an abomination, I hated using it 💔

Great location if you want to hike and go surfing. The host is very kind and helps if you want to do an activity or have any questions. The rooftop area and common kitchen were perfect to chill or work on my thesis as well. I can recommend booking a surf class as well, it was a great experience and amazing instructor.
