Ostello Molino Di Basso

Nice and friendly host, decent breakfast. Basic but clean rooms as expecected from an Ostello. Nice area but I was only there for one night.

Location is in the River Oglio national park area. Beautiful, quiet and peaceful countryside. This was by all means what we have been looking for. And has definitely met our expectations. Breakfast is as good as we have expected. Service/Staff is friendly. Internet working reasonably well (7 of 10).

Room does require quite an investment, which probably is not to be expected within coming years. Maybe it was our fault, but we did not figured how to open the blinds. It turned out to be quite depressing dark room with virtually no daylight even in the sunny day. And no fresh air during night. Forgetting about the fridge, we could do with the small things, like electric kettle ( not available at all) or even plastic glasses in the toilet, which we had to ask for.

The property is located in a nature reserve park, easily accessible with a car. Very calm place, close to the nature, with exceptional atmosphere. The host is a local family, they are kind, helpful and available for help. There is also a bar and a restaurant, operated by the family. They are not crowded, and the price is great, you can also meet locals time to time.

It’s not that we didn’t like, but we had false expectations :) Keep in mind that the property is ‘hostel-like’, so no fridge, TV, microwave, kitchen and whatsoever are in the rooms, but the common places has a truly unique vibe

Good people and nice food in the restaurant. They take care of you.
