Lovely family, comfy beds great location

Run by a nice family. Walking distance to the beach and to the main road where you can catch the bus. There are mosquito nets over every bed. There are lockers provided and hooks on the wall so you can hang your things. Social atmosphere when I stayed.

Not enough power outlets/sockets for everyone. No toilet paper provided.

Good location, scooter rental, really nice and helpful host’s willing to help answer your questions about places or transportation timetables etc.

Staff is super nice they are a family running the business. Super kind people. It's nice to have ensuite bathroom in the room and good value for money.

It was not a clean maintenance in the bathroom which I think it is quite important and very easy to fix, rest was amazing :)

I loved the host family they were very kind, accommodating and helpful. It felt like I didn’t need to worry about anything while staying there- they helped with food, activities and gave great local advice and recommendations.

That I wasn’t able to stay longer because I had already booked flights!!

Nice homestay close to the beach of hiriketiya and near the shops of dickwella to do the groseries. The dorm has only fans so if you suffer from heat .. its not a good idea. They offer amazing breakfast and dinner for a nice price and very tasty.

Everything about the place is amazing. Cheap yet clean rooms. Warm hosts. Mama and Papa are amazing hosts. Very lovely people. Mama would make dinner at night. Authentic and homely Sri Lankan food. Property is somewhat in the middle of dickwella town and Hiriketiya beach. Both destinations are 5-10 mins walk from the property.

I only had a very short stay with this lovely couple! They are very sweet and social people with a BIG heart, who like to chat and inform you all about Sri Lanka. Lovely folks who like to take care of others. I didn't eat there, but I truly wish I had when I saw the table, because the meal just looked amazing!!! If I ever come back to SL, I will plan to spend some more time here that's for damn sure !

It was just lovely. This place itself has everything you need; a proper bathroom, nice five beds where i got to meet very nice people and an outdoor fresh area to chill, talk or do whatever you feel like doing. The location is perfect as it is both close to Hiriketiya beach and Dekwella. But the VERY BEST part is by far the FAMILY. I could be sitting there for hours just enjoying their lovely company, chats and their joy. I was planning to stay one night and ended up staying four (and i may come back in some days). Why to leave a place where you are happy and feel home, right? Mamma’s breakfasts and dinners were amazing and always a great moment to meet people who even stopped by just for food. I have no words to decribe how charming each member of this family is. You stole my heart🫶. If you’re thinking to stay around dont miss this!

I’m in love with this place. This family is just WONDERFUL. The house is perfect, the room offers 5 good beds with mosquito nets, really comfortable and there is everything you need. And in addition to that, there is an amazing family that you must discover. From the grandparents to the new generation, their smile and their stories are all you need to be happy. They guide you on the activities to do around, help you about everything they can, welcome you with a delicious juice, and offer also amazing breakfasts and meals. It’s hard to express feelings in a review, but you clearly can’t expect better than this hostel. I’m in love.
