Downtown Hostels Ella

The hostel was comfortable and clean. The staff is great, they helped me out with every need. It’s super close to the train station and to the center of the city where you have lots of shops and restaurants. It’s also pretty close to Ella rock hike starting point and 30’ from 9 arches bridge. They serve a great breakfast homemade every day and they do “family dinner” once a week. They also have a WhatsApp group chat for the guest so you can connect with the others. Bug lockers and comfortable room with AC. Please stay here!!!

The staff was so helpful to everyone, it was great. Very central but quiet at night. They help you organize tours and the breakfast is fantastic. Awesome hostel

This was the best hostel we’ve stayed at in Sri Lanka! We met so many friends here and continued travelling with them. The staff were wonderful and made it very easy for us to plan activities and socialise with other people. The dorms are clean, beds have curtains, the shower has warm water, the breakfasts were delicious and the hostel’s location is superb! The staff are very friendly and really look out for you! Someone in our group left a camera behind (which we only noticed once they told us) and they organised to transport it to Negombo for us at almost no cost!
