One of the best party hostels in Rio. Couldn't recommend it anymore

Books is more than just the greatest party hostel in Rio, it is a community and a family. From stepping in through the front door, you immediately realise that this place has a shared history between the owners, volunteers and guests. Memories are printed and hung on the walls of inside jokes, photos, stories and testaments. The energy is electric all the time and you really do live in the moment here. There are events happening every day and the hostel has made it very intuitive to connect with other travellers, whether through their constantly active WhatsApp chat or at the long breakfast table. From 7-9pm, the 2 for 1 happy hour is unbeatably dangerous and nights out with the hostel are legendary. Showers and bathrooms have no faults, the TV has sports channels and Netflix, the rooms come with AC and lockers and the breakfast is for really champions - everything you would ever need! So fellow travellers, if you’ve read this far then what are you waiting for? Do yourself a favour and do not hesitate to stay with Books, as one day when you walk through their doors, you might be on the verge of creating and sharing something very special.

The hostel was very social which is perfect for solo travelers! The staff was very helpful and they planed a lot of activities :)

Best hostel in the world!!! We love Felipe and the Books Hostel family we created during our stay. Proper party hostel where you will get little sleep but make the bestest friends. Highly recommend at least a few nights if you are in Rio, you will have the best time ever and make the most amazing memories with the team and people who stay here. Daily activities with the hostel team, everyone was super lovely and friendly showing us the real Rio. We spent our 3 nights laughing, partying and fully immersing ourselves in the true Rio and carnival experience.

The social aspect of the hostel was incredible. Met some great people who are friends for life. The staff there, particularly Harry was great for me to help me settle in.

It wasn’t the most luxurious, but I knew that going in.

Breakfast with coffee every morning is a big plus! Place was being cleaned every day and people working there are very nice and helpful. Good wifi connection. If you are looking for that crazy party hostel, this is the place. Good location as well, just few minutes walking from all the parties in Lapa.

As there is party every day and place is quite small, you will hear the loud music in the room. Then all the drunk people coming back in the night :D. This is just something to consider before booking, of course if you will party too it won't bother you :D.
