Brú na Dromoda/Dromid Hostel

Very noisy

We loved the peace of Brú na Dromoda. It is very welcoming, tranquil and homey. The kitchen is well equipped and it was fun to play a board game or two in the living room. The views around the hostel are beautiful and the staff were lovely and communicated well throughout. There is a little community-ran shop and pub next door for any essentials. If you're by car, it's an excellent pit stop off the Ring of Kerry for the night!

The bathroom in the private bedroom was a little rustic, but all clean and functional!

Nous avions une chambre avec salle de bain privée, elle n’était pas très grande mais elle avait tout le confort nécessaire C’était un très bon rapport qualité prix au milieu du Ring Of Kerry. La cuisine commune est très bien équipée, le salon commun très confortable. La petite supérette à coté est très pratique, il y avait une bonne ambiance au bar (attention, il ne fait pas restauration). Il y a même une petite aire de jeux pour les enfants.

Les routes d’accès sont très étroites, il faut être prudent

Clean and the beds were comfy.

A large group of people (they had rented the other 3 private rooms) got in at 11 and woke us all up. Sound traveled very easily, so every time they opened a door or came up and down the stairs in their hiking boots it was a lot of racket. Thankfully they were mostly settled just before midnight - but it meant that we had a very restless night of sleep before our early start. Maybe adding carpeting to stairs or more signage about late arrival would help.
