Tanty’s Hostel

Кажется, это мое самое дешевое проживание на Шри-Ланке за все время. Хорошая локация для начинающих серферов (в бухте куча школ и ренталов), да и в целом отсюда удобно перемещаться по побережью. Мебель и комнаты уже старенькие, но спать и жить вполне комфортно. По соседству такие же бэкпекеры - понимающие ребята, которые берегут сон каждого (хотя мне, возможно, просто повезло). Есть кухня для готовки, плюс дешевыe завтраки от хозяев.

Super comfy beds. spacious dining area, safe and lovely place to stay and rest, even just to read a book for days. Reminded me my school hostel days 😁. Some huge trees in the backyard. Ideal space to do some yoga and meditation under trees because its calm and quiet even though it is closer to main road and the beach. Helpful and kind staff. Cozy place. Highly recommended.

I stayed at this hostel for 2 nights. It was great that there was a fully equipped kitchen with two refrigerators — you can cook your own meals. The hostel is also very close to the sea and the main road, which makes both travel and walks very convenient. The downsides: there aren't enough power sockets in the lounge area, and the Wi-Fi quality is absolutely terrible — it doesn't work properly anywhere, neither in the room nor in the common area.

Hot showers, mosquito nets, use of kitchen, near the beach, common areas, and fresh towels, good price.

Lots of mosquitos at night, lots of cockroaches around the kitchen area, antisocial vibe.
