the room was not what was advertised no garden view or any view no towel or soap provided had to rent towel per day beds in dorms have no curtains for privacy not enough electrical outlets to charge phone only one shower & toilet for all dorms

Room was very basic

We loved our stay at martha's hostel..she run it with so much love and effort.. she truly wanna make sure you all happy and cared after.. the same as her mum laura. We adore her with her advice, Kind and helping heart..everyone of the staff is amazing. We stayed a week and did a 3 day tour through the jungle in colombia, peru (most of our time), and Brasil. We have been very good taking care off from food, transport and how you enjoy the tour the most..its such a unique feeling that the tour you book is your tour...they ask you everytime what you like to do , see and give you suggestions.. the food was amazing each time, the hammocks aswell.. we took everywhere our time not like other tours and we been spoiled with lots of information about plants, trees, flowers etc.. we had been invited to the traditional dance that was hold for the weekend in leticia..our guide brought us there and mum laura checked on us and invited us to dance in the circle..we felt so part of a beautifull family including her staff and husband. On our last full day we did the maloka tour for the day. Unfortantly i was very unwell but i didnt want to miss out on a trip to the traditional house of the leader with the mum laura.. she and the young boy took care a lot, made me a stick to walk as make me lemon tea..i cleared up from their treatment..thanks a lot!! She spoiled us with heaps of interesting information..we loved her endless knowledge. She and martha are truly gems!! If i was not sick and we had more time than we would have stayed overnight at their uncle, the maloko leader house. He and his friend were so welcoming..you could ask them so much question. So interesting! I recommend everybody to stay overnight if you can and to do tours with them! Youll love your time every minute and feel like family. Martha also love to treat you with Juice or fruit of her garden.

As its a old basic hostel..and the amount of People using the same bathroom it get quit dirty quickly despite the team really taking care of it..i know martha herself at 6.30 am in the morning cleaned the bathroom as i Just was going to the bathroom at that time..thats why she open a bigger and more modern hostel soon as she really want to take care of the hygiëne with every room to have an own bathroom. Also we had a issue we shared with her and martha really handle these discreet and proffesional. For us nothing we didnt like..love to all!!

Very kind and helpful staff

The room could not be locked. Only one bathroom with one shower for many people. Staff was not very helpful and attentive.

Friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms, bathroom, and a good kitchen in which to prepare meals.

This was the second time I have stayed at La Jangada; I like everything.

The staff was super friendly and helpful. The wifi is better than the average wifi in Leticia. I took a few of the Tours they offered and were great with very experienced guides and exceptionally organized.
