once inside it bore no resemblance to the outside. very good

the outside looked reall rubbish and my heart sank when I arrived

We liked having a (mostly) secure parking lot, since we were traveling with a lot of stuff (bicycles, etc.) and were able to leave most of it inside the car overnight without worrying about it being stolen.

1. No towels/Bad service: There were no towels in the room when we arrive. I walked downstairs and outside to let the hotel receptionist (who also served as parking lot attendant) know. He said the girl would bring them "ahorita" (right away). That didn't happen. We went out for dinner and were gone several hours. When we returned, there were still no towels. We walked downstairs and out to the parking lot again; mentioned it to the receptionist again. Again he said "Ahorita le traen las toallas." We waited for close to an hour. We were tired and wanted to take a shower, but had not towels. In the end, my husband had to walk out to the clothesline in the parking lot, where the towels were hanging drying in the sun to get us two towels. 2. No hot water and no water pressure in the shower: Just a slow trickle of cold water came out of the shower. It was impossible to take a proper shower. We didn't even bother telling the receptionist after the towel fiasco. 3. Bugs/mosquitoes: There were mosquitoes/bugs ALL OVER THE WALLS of the hallway and inside the bathroom. The walls of the bathroom were also covered in what appeared to be black mold (bathroom has no fan). 4. Noisy A/C: The A/C unit made horrendous gremlin-style noises while in operation. We had to sleep with earplugs on, and even so we heard the noise from the air conditioner. Since the room had no ceiling fan, and the area is full of mosquitoes, we did not have the option to turn the A/C off and open the windows; it was way too hot. 5. Uncomfortable bed: The mattresses may just as well have been made out of concrete; they were soooo hard!

Very noisy,partying next door with loud music. It would be great if they offered a hand towel and face cloth

super clean. friendly staff and friendly dog. great location, perfect for my needs. very secure parking lot. felt safe. AC worked fine.
