Hostal El Rio

Staff are amazing, the kitchen is big and equipped. there are lockers in the room. not so far from the center. there is a backyard. the breakfast is great. value for money.

It's super hot. there is no temperate location in the whole hostel. during the day you should try to stay out of the hostel. even at night you might have problem sleeping. because the Roof is tin. it absorbs and conducts the heat to the room. the ceiling is low so heat builds up. They should really think about insulating the roof.

The location is a little walk out of the main part of town, but felt safe walking to and from in the morning and evenings. The included breakfast was really nice, and there is free coffee refills. There is a great kitchen and fridge. Filtered water was provided.

It was so hot when I was there and the two little fans provided little comfort at night.

Its clean, the bed is comfortable. The internet is very good. Bathroom was okay, location is great, its in a safe environment. Receptionist was nice as well.

The walls are from paper, you can literally hear everything from your neighboor. It was only not nice waking up at 6am next to my room the guys were listening to loud music.

Cheap price, only 2 people in a dorm meaning i had it to myself for 2 nights, great breakfast, friendly staff.

The rooms get quite hot. The location is also a little outside the centre.

Room had no window and way for ventilation except opening the door to the main hallway and a fan that was blowing the hot air around the room

The staff is great! Delicious breakfast. This was my second time there, love it. Two kitchens and two freezers available. Several spots to spend time either alone or in group. TV available.

There is a small pile of underused things in the patio in the back of the property, nothing hurtful but it would be nice to remove those things from the sight.

The traditional breakfast was unbeatable. The staff is super friendly and nice. The tent is an excellent option for those who are easily bitten by mosquitoes.

It's a little bit far from the city center, yet not a great problem.

I stayed three nights there, in a small tent which was placed in a backyard. Luckily for me there weren't a lot of people there so it was quiet and relaxed for spending time. The have two kitchens which I found it great, so you do not have to wait to prepare yourself a food. They also serve (included in a price) two versions of breakfast and it is a very tasty. (Two pancakes with banana & Marple syrup or traditional Gallo Pinto with scrambled eggs and toasted bread). Stuff were also friendly and helpful.

I didn't like that tents are to small, especially for the one taller then 1,75, and do no have enough space for a bigger backpack so you have to keep it outside. Would be nice to have something like a small storage place.
