Kiwi Backpackers Hostel Pokhara

The dorm was neat and clean. Had keycard access so felt a little more secure. You can see some snow clad mountains from the rooftop. Breakfast was good. Location is decent - close to the lakeside, though a bit away from the Lakeside walkway.

While booking the hostel, I had read good reviews about the reception staff being knowledgeable. Unfortunately, during my stay, the person at the desk appeared to be new and wasn’t very familiar with things beyond the usual queries.

Really great social hostel. Not a party vibe which was great, the staff are lovely and the bar on the top roof was great!

Great stay overall. The location is very convenient, close to many restaurants and cafés. You can easily rent a bike nearby to go around Pokhara, which made exploring the area fun and easy. They also allow you to leave your bag for a few days if you go hiking, which was very helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

Made really good friends. The bed was spacious and clean. Providing a table in the room was a very good idea. The rooftop was good and provided a beautiful view.

The hostel doesn't provide padlocks. The rooftop gets closed quite early and the staff starts asking to vacate the place, it starts feeling like a school or college hostel with strict discipline. Lack of light bulbs, there should be more on staircases, rooms, common areas. No charging points on rooftop or near the bar area.

The staff was super friendly and immensely helpful. And great value for money.
