Atlantis Backpackers

This was the best Hostel experience I had in my whole journey in new Zealand, maybe ever. It is a hostel how it should be, with so much love to it, you immediately feel at home.

Was exactly as per the pictures. Close to town and the ferry. Reasonably quiet from 10pm to 7am.

Mattress a little soft for us.

It felt a little cluttered with a lot of things.

The facility is decent with a really clean kitchen.

Other people in the hostel were talking till past midnight in the kitchen. Our room was next to it and although the quiet time is from 22:00-7:00 in the morning, people were really insensitive about other people's sleep timing. The host was good and you will get free breakfast and dessert.

The location

The whole place is very rundown. Very old and dirty from the front entrance where everyone sits and smoke and smell whafs into the building . All the facilities are so dated .I didn't feel safe at all . People loud late at night in the hallway leading to rooms..

Such a homey feel, and lovely people. Great location , amazing murals, great CD collection
