Very kind owner and staff, good quality beds, an amazing rooftop (which is quite loud though), a nice kitchen, solid breakfast (egg, toasted bread, fresh juice), a lot of plants and generally very nice vibe.

Extra costs if you cook after check out, no juicer to make your own juice..

There is no air conditioning and I barely slept in the heat of Iquitos (there were fans but air circulation was so poor, it was sweltering in the room). The location is quite far from the centre and there are no good restaurants near. The one male staff was a real jerk. I had a new litre of milk stolen from the fridge and suggested one traveller may have been responsible but there was no proof. I may have made a mistake in accusing him (but only spoke to this staff member about it). I then talked to an Israeli man about all the conflicts going on and what Israelis thought about the country's response - appropriate or overdone. We also talked about travelling and an Israeli card game we both played. The staff member accused me of making him "uncomfortable". He forced me to leave the hostel and refunded one of my night's stay. I am a world traveller (I've been to all 193 UN countries) and have stayed in thousands of dorm rooms in hostels. My motto is to talk to everyone. It is amazing who you will meet. Unfortunately, this staff member overheard the conversation with the Israeli. Instead of asking the man if he felt uncomfortable, he made an assumption and acted on it. I doubt there was an issue. I asked to sit with him and his two Israeli friends at breakfast and they were very friendly. I don't think there were any issues. I have never had such a negative experience in a hostel in my life. I went to the Flying Dog Hostel downtown. It was great with AC and a much better location.

Best Hostel in iquitos!! I tried many Hostels in Iquitos (the cheap ones) and came to the conclusion that Moicca is the best!what it offers (&other hostels don’t): - Each bed has an own ventilator that makes no noise (in other hostels they are older so they make a lot of noise when turned on) - free towel for use - local, toasted bread for breakfast (not American toast) - drinking water to refill the bottle - no traffic noise inside the rooms and also not in the kitchen because the rooms are on the back side of the house - kitchen always super clean - Favio, the receptionist, and his family are such lovely people <3 - there were always nice people, idk how but this place seems to attract them - location is a bit far from center, but local market is just next door and is much cheaper than buying stuff in the touristic center I came back many times to this hostel. Very recommended !

Depends on what you wanna do, sometimes it’s a bit far from places where you wanna go (center or Belén). However, it’s only around 4 soles by motokarro

The hostel was very clean and had a lovely energy, the rooftop makes for a nice chill spot. The owner is awesome we had a great chat. I'm grateful for the work he is doing. For meeting another soul who can really see things for how they are. Keep being the light in this world my friend. The beds are super comfy, nice hot showers and clean drinking water. It's also quiet at night. I just felt so happy here with all the little things that make this place stand out. Luna the cat definitely made it even better. I will stay here again in the future for sure.

Super nice staff, chill atmosphere, free breakfast was simple and enjoyable, kitchen was always clean and inviting and the roof terrace was nice to hang out. Also you could play the drums!

Due to the very busy streets, the roof terrace was mostly still super load, so your bed remained the only quiet place. But that's okay I guess. I just arrived with very little sleep and so wished for it. Because of the house architecture the rooms were pretty hot all the time... (It's the Amazon though...)

- There are Zionist stickers all over the place (unfortunately, the people at the front desk did not seem to understand why a hostel should not take a public position on such topics). Still, they were very kind at listening to me about it. - The top-floor terrace is lovely, but still needs a lot of work to become cosier
