Tony's House Eco Hostel

Beautiful property, friend staff Carly was so sweet and accommodating.

~22 minute walk from main area

The hostel is a little oasis in the (quite ugly) city of Huaraz. It is the perfect hub where to stay while doing day trekking around Huaraz or to ehere come back after several day excursions. Carla, the owner, is very kind, talkative and full of advices for discovering the area around. She also cooks very well and can provide dinners (best pizza in huaraz) + a lot of sweat stuff, so that in the evening u can eat directly at the place avoiding to go in town. The garden is amazing and the way the hostel, the room and the common kitchen are organized is perfect. Social aspect really taken into account: impossible not to socialize at breakfast or dinner in the common area. To be kept in mind: carla has 2 dogs, so if you do not like animals maybe this is not the spot for you. City center is 15 mins on foot, but i do not feel this is a negative point because anyway there are shops close to the house, if you need a tour they can pick you up at the hostel, and in town if really you cant walk there is uber (very very very cheap).

L’hostel de Carla est un havre de paix situé en lisière de ville. Un lieu idéal pour se reposer après les randonnées. Carla a de très bons conseils concernant les activités. Elle est aussi une très bonne cuisinière, nous avons beaucoup aimé les pizzas au feu de bois et les desserts maison. Je recommande vivement cet hostel. PS: si vous êtes des doglovers je vous le conseil de surcroît

Merci beaucoup à Carla d'avoir rendu nous séjour si agréable. Sa flexibilité et sa générosité ont été grandement appréciées. L'hostel est très bien entretenu et les espaces communs sont impeccables de propriétés.

Es un gran hostel para descansar después de cada caminata, alejado del centro, tranquilo y pacifico. Las zonas comunes son muy lindas, cómodas e invitan a conocer gente. Carla es una genia, sostiene todo con mucho amor. El desayuno es riquisimo y completo. Estoy muy contenta de haberme hospedado aca.
